Post Malone’s recent Saturday Night Live (SNL) wardrobe had many wondering if he was gay because he wore a skirt and this is exactly why we need to have this discussion.
The singer has not been afraid to try out new styles and this is definitely not the first time that Post Malone put on a dress or a skirt. However, given that it was new to some people, they were quick to pass judgments on social media.
It did not take long for people to start questioning if the singer was gay just because he was wearing a skirt while he was on SNL.

Post Malone’s SNL appearance explored
Post Malone was announced as the musical guest for the latest episode of the show alongside Selena Gomez who was the host for the night.
Fans had been excited to see the singer get on a stage and perform his music. Apart from debuting a new song in front of the live audience Post-Malone also took part in the skits performed during the show.
There is no doubt the entire event had been successful and fans loved him on the show. However, when the singer posted a behind-the-scenes photo, it did not take long for people to start commenting on it.
Post Malone was seen enjoying his “me time” backstage as he wore a dress while relaxing. However, it gave rise to the “gay” comments quickly. Some of these can be seen below:

Post Malone has never commented on his sexuality or on rumours that hinted he might be gay. Truth be told, he doesn’t have to. The singer has been open to trying different styles and that should not be associated with his sexuality.
In fact, Post Malone is not the only one who has worn a dress. Singer Harry Styles has also broken the gender stereotypes by wearing a dress during the Vogue photoshoot.
We think it’s high time people start associating clothing with sexuality and let the artists breathe peacefully.

This is not the first time Post Malone has worn a dress
In January 2022, Post Malone sat down for an interview with Billboard and showed off his looks while wearing dresses that had been designed by his stylist Catherine Hahn.
Hahn and Post Malone have been working together for a long time and it did not come as a surprise that the singer was open to trying new looks. In a bid to do so, it seems like he managed to find fashion that he loves and likes. With that in mind, it’s high time that all the individuals are allowed to wear what they want, without any judgments.
