William Weld biography

William F. Weld serves as Interim Chairman of the Board of the Company. Mr. Weld currently practices with the law firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., in Boston and New York where he specializes in government strategies, corporate governance and compliance and international business best practices. He also served as Senior Advisor to the Chair of Ivanhoe Capital Corporation, a private holding company headquartered in British Columbia. Mr. Weld has a very distinguished career in government and business. During the 1990’s, Mr. Weld served two terms as Governor of Massachusetts, being elected in 1990 and re-elected in 1994. He served as national co-chair of the Privatization Council and led business and trade missions to many counties in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa. He has served as a director of other public companies and is an active member of the United States Council on Foreign Relations. Prior to his election as Governor, Mr. Weld was a federal prosecutor for seven years, serving as the Assistant U.S. Attorney General in charge of the Criminal Division of the Justice Department in Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts during the Reagan administration. He was also a commercial litigator in Boston and Washington. Mr. Weld is currently running for President of the United States.
