Miriah Vanlith Inmate Posts On Tiktok Video

Miriah Vanlith has produced a video for TikTok in which she extends an invitation to others to get in touch with her if they “want to communicate” and become pen friends. Following the upload of eight movies, Vanlith’s account swiftly gained a total of 33,000 followers.

In an interview with the Statesman, Vanlith stated that she created the video in order to meet new people and that having a pen pal helps her pass the time while she is incarcerated.

Although inmates are able to utilize the JPay system to communicate with persons on the outside world through e-mail and the transfer of video files, they are not permitted direct access to social media. That indicates that the convict did not make their own TikTok account nor did they upload their own videos. Because of this, her profile is no longer visible.

Vanlith refused to tell how she received the TikTok videos; nonetheless, a short search on TikTok reveals hundreds of Boise inmates asking for pen friends; some of them even use images from their past to encourage people to become their pen pals.
