Jes Staley has stepped down from his role as Barclays CEO as of November 1st 2021 following an inquiry over his links to Jeffrey Epstein. As reported by the BBC, Jes said that he “deeply regretted having any relationship with Jeffrey.”

Who is Jes Staley?

Jes Staley was born in Boston, Massachusetts on December 27th, 1956 as James Edward Staley.

His father was the CEO of a chemicals company and his grandfather also held an executive position.

Jes studied at Bowdoin College and graduated with a degree in economics.

Who is Jes Staley’s wife, Debbie?

Jes Staley met Debora Nitzan back when she was a 19-year-old student as per online sources.

Debora and Jes were working in South Anerica when they met and, as per Information Cradle, Jes said that he was Debora’s parents’ “worst nightmare“.

Despite this, Debora and Jes later married and had two daughters together. The family is said to live in New York and Jes also owns a luxury yacht named Bequia after his and Debora’s honeymoon location.

Debbie Staley’s career explored

Besides being Jes’ wife and a mother to their two daughters, Debbie has a career as a New York based interior designer.

Her family is also likely wealthy as they own Brazilian data company Aceco. The company was sold to KKR in 2014 as per Wag Center.

Debbie and Jes’ daughters are named Sophia and Alexa. As per Alexa’s website, she attended Columbia University in New York and graduated in 2015 with a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics. Alexa also studied at the same university as her father for her initial degree in Physics as per her LinkedIn page.

Jes and Debbie’s daughter’s latest job listing on LinkedIn dates back to 2019 when she worked as a Quantum Engineer.
