Bajrang Punia Wife:- Bajrang Punia is an Indian freestyle wrestler. He competes in the 65-kg weight category. At Tokyo Olympics 2020, Bajrang won a bronze medal by defeating Kazakhstan’s Daulet Niyazbekov with a wide 8-0 margin.

Currently, he is in the limelight because Olympian wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, and other top Indian grapplers are protesting against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).

Who Is Bajrang Punia Wife? 

The 28-year-old wrestler Bajrang Punia is married to fellow wrestling star Sangeeta Phogat. Sangeeta Phogat is the youngest of the 6 wrestler sisters from Haryana on whose life the film Dangal was picturized.

Bajrang Punia and Sangeeta Phogat tied the knot in November 2020. Sangeeta herself is a famed medallist wrestler with victories at many international championships, including a Commonwealth Games silver.

Why Is Bajrang Punia Protesting Against The Wrestling Federation of India at Jantar Mantar?

Bajrang Punia requests other wrestlers to join the protest against the Wrestling Federation of India at Jantar Mantar. He urged others to join the protest on Thursday, 19 January at 10 am at Jantar Mantar to save and support the athletes.

Bajrang Punia accused the WFI (Wrestling Federation of India) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of abusing wrestlers and hitting them.

India’s top wrestlers on Wednesday 18 January staged an unprecedented protest against the federation’s president.

Along with Bajrang Punia, Rio Olympics medalist Sakshi Malik, world championship medalist Vinesh Phogat, world championship medallist Sarita Mor, Jitender Kinha, Sangeeta Phogat, Satyawart Malik, and Commonwealth Games medallist Sumit Malik were also present at Jantar Mantar.

World Championship medalist Vinesh Phogat further accused the WFI President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexually harassing female wrestlers.
