It’s a pretty heavy situation with Velveteen Dream. It seems like there’s been a lot going on in his world. Wrestling fans were caught off guard when he emerged, not to make a flashy move in the ring but to offer a heartfelt apology.

Leaving WWE in 2021 was a result of some serious allegations about his behavior. With new revelations, it appears that things were already rocky for some time before that.

Turbulent WWE Exit, and Allegations

Back in 2020, there were already signs of trouble brewing. He was facing criticism for inappropriate actions involving younger individuals, which understandably caused a lot of concern and backlash.

His presence on the NXT show became less frequent, and his final match aired in December of that year against Adam Cole. Plus, it seems like there were issues backstage with his co-workers, which never makes things easier in a professional setting.

Then, in 2022, things took a turn for the worse. There were arrests, first for fighting and trespassing, then something related to drugs. It’s a troubling pattern of behavior that seems to have escalated.

The accusations about not following rules during matches, breaking wellness rules, and invading others’ privacy by recording them in the bathroom without consent are serious and deeply concerning.

While Clark acknowledged the negative narratives surrounding him and the online criticisms, he avoided addressing any specific incidents or behaviors that led to his apology. Instead, he concentrated on accepting responsibility for his actions over the last three years.

Regrets Towards Wrestling Icons

Among the primary targets of Clark’s apology was the Wrestling World Series, which he had represented as Velveteen Dream. He apologized for any unwelcome attention or bad press that the company might have received as a result of his actions.

Beyond the wrestling ring, Clark directed apologies towards close friends, notably Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and his best friend Tehuti Miles. He regretted any tarnishing of their reputations due to his actions.

The most profound apologies were reserved for his family. Clark expressed sorrow for any negative repercussions they might have faced due to his actions. He urged them not to feel responsible for defending his behavior.

Clark openly acknowledged feeling like he was “losing himself” and extended apologies to anyone he might have alienated or hurt during that time.
