Tommy Cooper was a comedian who was born in Wales. He died on stage, and the video of his death has been going around Reddit again.

Cooper, who was 6 feet 3 inches tall and often wore a red fez, had a strong and serious stage presence. He served in the British Army for seven years before joining The Magic Circle to improve his magic skills.

Even though he toured for a while with his magic act, which was based on tricks that seemed to “fail,” he became famous all over the world when he started doing shows for Thames Television and London Weekend Television.

Tommy’s horrible and well-known death happened on live TV in front of a crowd. The comedian was on a segment of the TV show Live From Her Majesty’s London Weekend.

On the stage of Her Majesty’s Theatre in Westminster, London, he sagged and fell to the floor. At first, both the host and the audience thought it was a trick.

The people in the room laughed out loud because they thought it was all a joke. He fell to the ground first, and then he slid back onto the stage curtains. But the show’s director saw that there was a big problem and switched to an unplanned break.

Tommy was pulled out from behind the curtains, and people backstage tried to bring him back to life. He was already dead when he got to Westminster Hospital. As the event went on, Les Dennis and Dustin Gee were two of the next people to perform.

Some fans have called the video “gruesome” because it shows him performing on stage and then collapsing right before he is taken off. The video is being shared a lot on Reddit.

Who was Tommy Cooper’s wife and what did they do?

Cooper married Gwen Henty on February 24, 1947, in Nicosia, Cyprus. 2002 saw her passing. They had two children: Victoria and Thomas. Thomas, who was born in 1956 and later became an actor known as Thomas Henty and died in 1988.

Cooper also had a relationship with his personal assistant Mary Fieldhouse from 1967 until his death, which she wrote about in her book For the Love of Tommy (1986).

On Christmas Day 2018, Channel 5 showed the documentary Tommy Cooper: In His Own Words. Cooper’s daughter Vicky Cooper went on the show after years of not doing interviews “because of the sadness.”

We look at Tommy Cooper’s career and biography

Tommy became well-known because of the funny things he said about props and magicians. He was a member of The Magic Circle and a good magician. But what made him famous was his funny act of “failed” magic tricks.

He also did time in the army. Legend has it that his failed magic tricks in front of his fellow soldiers were the ones that made people laugh the most. Another story says that his trick didn’t work at an audition after World War II.

But the panel was shaking so much that they said it should be his act. In 1948, when he appeared on the BBC talent show New to You, the audience liked what he did. This led to a 40-year career on TV, where he did his failed magic trick over and over again.
