VALORANT Episode 7 Brings new Norwegian agent to the game, Deadlock

Episode 7 Act 1 brings a lot of new stuff to the game including a brand new agent. Agent 23 also known as Deadlock, is a sentinel agent from Norway that brings a fresh set of abilities that will impact the VALORANT meta. These abilities can concuss, trap, block, and even eliminate enemies. Next to that, the new update brings the Team Deathmatch game-mode to VALORANT.

Let's take a look at Deadlocks abilities first:

GravNet

Press the ability 1 key (C) to equip the GravNet grenade.

Left-click the grenade to throw it or right-click to lob the grenade underhand. The GravNet will detonate upon landing, forcing enemies caught within to crouch and move slowly. Being caught in the net is devastating to enemy players, so timing this right will give you a big advantage.

Sonic Sensor

Press the ability 2 key (Q) to equip Sonic Sensor.

The Sonic Sensor reminds us a bith of Cypher. Left-click to deploy the ability against a wall. If Enemies make noise in the sensor area it will detonate and concuss the enemies in that area. So footsteps, weapon fire or any other noise will be detected. Place your sensor at the right spot and you can always get the upper hand at corners.

Barrier Mesh

Press the ability 3 key (E) to equip a Barrier Mesh. Left-click to fire the ability.

Upon landing, the disc generates four barriers from the origin point blocking all players to move through the barrier. Shooting through the barrier is possible, but it will block agent abilities. Think about all the abilities of Agents you can block with this one.

Annihilation

Press the ultimate key (X) to equip the Nanowire Accelerator. Left-click to fire a pulse of nanowires that captures the first enemy it comes into contact with.

The cocooned target will be dragged along a nanowire route, and if the captured enemy reaches the end of this path without being rescued, they will die. You can be saved from the cocoon, as it only costs a couple of bullets from your teammates to save you from it. If you are alone, then we wish you good luck.

Episode 7 Act 1: Battle pass, new skinline and a new game mode

Episode 7 Act 1 also brings us a new battle pass with skins and other cosmetics you can get by leveling up. Riot has also added the ‘’TWISTEN’’ title as a free chapter reward, to pay tribute to the 19 year old valorant pro who recently passed away.

The new bundle called ‘’Neo Frontier’’ is a brand new skin collection and brings us new animations that we have not seen before.

There will also be a new gamemode added called Team Deathmatch. The new gamemode will be played on three custom maps, called PIAZZA, DISTRICT and KABASH. Team Deathmatch is a game mode that has been requested since the very start of VALORANT, since it's meant to be a warm-up or chill mode in which you don't have to be alert at all times to secure a victory for your team. It's also a great practice mode for your aim!
