UPDATE Heavy police presence on Centennial Bridge, shuts down traffic for half hour

UPDATE Rock Island Police requested the Davenport Police to block the traffic from Iowa side of the Centennial Bridge on Saturday night after an incident.
We are still gathering information on the incident.
EARLIER A heavy police presence shut down traffic Saturday night on the Centennial Bridge.
The stoppage started around 7:15 p.m. on the Davenport side of the bridge, and lasted for about a half hour.
We counted at least a couple dozen squad cars on both sides of the river.
A vehicle had to be towed.
The reason is unknown.
