Travis Traynham Obituary: Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department lieutenant Travis Traynham, a citizen of Richmond, Virginia, passed away.

With great sadness, the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department announces the death of Lieutenant Travis Traynham. Lt. Traynham passed away while off-duty on Thursday, November 23, 2023. Lt. Traynham has been a valued member of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department since joining in 2004. He was assigned as a Battalion 8 Relief Lieutenant, B-shift, at the time of his passing. Lt. Traynham will be greatly missed. Fire Chief Butler and the women and men of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department extend our deepest condolences to Lt. Traynham’s family, friends, co-workers, and anyone whose life he touched.

Who was Travis Traynham?

Travis Traynham worked as a lieutenant at the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Department and lived in Richmond, Virginia. At Devry Federal Way Washington, he earned an Associate of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Travis was a well-known fireman and paramedic, in addition to working as a field engineer for Bayer from 2000 to 2004.

Since joining the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department in 2004, Lt. Traynham has been a respected member of the team. He was given the B-shift position of Relief Lieutenant for Battalion 8.

His amazing sense of humor lightened any room, and he was a continuous source of laughter. He stood out for his sincere care and candor; he would go above and beyond to make sure others felt valued. She never turned down the chance to cheer someone up and make them feel good.
