The return of Gabbie MARCH-all?

In last year’s postseason run, Iowa guard Gabbie Marshall shot the living daylights out of the basketball — 46% from 3-point range in the month of March. Her contributions were critical to the Hawkeyes making the national championship, and they likely don’t win the Big Ten Tournament either.

Marshall has turned it up a notch the last two games, canning eight 3-pointers on 8-for-15 shooting from beyond the arc. Whether Marshall is flipping that same switch she did last year, Iowa coach Lisa Bluder thinks Gabbie’s sharp shooting takes the Hawkeyes to a whole new level.

“It’s totally different and she’s shooting the ball really well,” Bluder said. “When she hits it like that it just takes the pressure off of Caitlin and it just makes us so much harder to guard.”

Marshall’s only shooting the three-ball at a 33.8% clip this season. But a few games of playoff Gabbie might boost that number — just like she did last year.
