This is the only episode that does not feature LaRoyce Hawkins (via IMDb), which is truly astounding considering how long the series has been on. "Chicago P.D." started airing in 2014, while the most recent season started in 2021. With well over 170 episodes, it is truly a massive undertaking to be present in all but one. Not only that, but the character of Atwater has also appeared in 12 crossover episodes on "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago Justice," per IMDb.

"Erin's Mom" is about a rental company that has some suspicion about a rather questionable customer. They seek the aid of the Chicago Police Department, which has the unintended side effect of aiding a long-running investigation into a robbery-homicide. However, the suspicious customer is not the only one that earns the attention of the police department, and certain events come to light that makes the original lead's motivation untrustworthy.

Still, it is truly astounding that this is the only episode that wasn't graced by Hawkins' Atwater.
