A team of some of the most creative minds in gaming have come together to develop a swingin’ new adventure, Tamarin. This 3D-platformer, Metroidvania-style shooter is coming to PlayStation 4 and PC later this year.
Chameleon Games is supported by some of the best and brightest from Rare. Banjo-Kazooie character designer Steve Mayles have brought these adorable critters to life while Donkey Kong Country composer David Wise is providing the tunes. Besides these two big names, a host of developers from Rare are also working under Chameleon.
After bugs have invaded the peaceful land of the tamarins, it is this fuzzy furball’s job to take it back:
Explore, leap and shoot to save your family from the insect invasion! Leap with the agility of a tamarin as you journey into the Northern wilderness, in a world full of exploration, 3D-platforming and bug-splattering action!
When this platformer was announced, it was said to be an Xbox release, but now that doesn’t appear to be happening. There are two pre-orders available for the PlayStation 4 and PC release of the game, a regular and deluxe. The regular pre-order for $33.99 includes:
Get the game cheaper than the launch price!
Instant access to free Tamarin wallpapers
Exclusive first listen to a tune from the Tamarin soundtrack
Tamarin cheat codes
1 Steam-redeemable key for the Final Game!
Your Final Game keys will become available when Tamarin releases!
The deluxe pre-order, currently priced at $42.49, will come will all of the above goodies plus a digital version of the soundtrack. Pre-orders are available now through the developer’s website.
Tamarin swings onto PlayStation 4 and Steam on September 10, 2020.
