Ryan Reynolds Revealed That He Hates All Of His Tattoos

Ryan Reynolds is a famous Canadian actor, producer and businessman, who has appeared in films such as Deadpool, Green Lantern and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Reynolds has tattoos on different areas of his body, though he said in a 2015 interview with The New Yorker that he doesn’t like them.

Reynolds has tattoos on both his wrist and right leg. The actor has a cannon tattoo on his left wrist. The cannon called Nine O’clock Gun is located in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada and is fired at 9 pm every day. Another tattoo on the 44-year-old actor’s left wrist has an important meaning. His second tattoo, “Know Yourself”, is inscribed on the inside of his wrist.

Reynolds accomplished this to keep him on track and remember who he was when the camera was off. In addition to the tattoo on his wrist, The Deadpool actor also has other tattoos on his right leg. Reynolds was seen with a tattoo on his leg while on vacation with his wife (and actress) Blake Lively and friend (and singer) Taylor Swift. Several quotes are inscribed on his lap, along with a ‘six hearts’ tag. A dance-related statement in English typography near his calf completed Reynolds’ leg tattoo.

Reynolds shared an Instagram selfie with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson following his surprise appearance in Hobbs & Shaw. In the video, both actors sit side by side, lifting their shirts off their necks to reveal their tattoos. Johnson’s tattoo is real, Reynolds’s is not. Reynolds joked in his post that he was disappointed to hear this. The discussion about the two stars continued, with Johnson commenting on the post. He joked that if Reynolds pulled up his shirt to reveal his tattoo, he would look cool and attractive, but that’s not the case with him.

Reynolds despises his tattoos

The actor admitted in an interview with The New Yorker that he despises all of his tattoos. During the interview, he hid his ‘Know Thyself’ tattoo on the inside of his left wrist. Referring to the six-heart card tattoo on his thigh, he said such tattoos have meaning in movies like Mississippi Grind, a movie about gambling.

The actor who wanted to remove the tattoo said the only thing stopping him from doing so was “hours of terrible suffering”. He also said that his wife, Lively, advised him to maintain the tattoos as a reminder of his decisions. Reynolds also claims that concealing his tattoos with cosmetics can take up to three hours.
