Royal Ascot Placepot tips: Top picks for today's Placepot at Royal Ascot this Saturday

The Sun Racing team have put together their selections for each day's Placepot. So here we go for Saturday...

Race 1 - Chesham Stakes 2.30pm

Pinatubo

This very well-bred colt has experience on it side having already notched up two wins plus Charlie Appleby has a 30% record with their 2 year-olds at the track so it can't be ignored.

Race 2 - Jersey Stakes 3:05pm

Happy Power

Will relish the cut underfoot and has come on strongly this year in winning a strong Listed race at York.

Race 3 - Hardwicke Stakes 3:40pm

Southern France

Has a good record at the track having won the Queen’s Vase last year and gave the Gold Cup hero Stradivarius a proper run for its money in the Yorkshire Cup at York, eventually going down by a length.

Race 4 - Diamond Jubilee Stakes 4:20pm

City Light 

Fancied to go one better than last year following an impressive performance at Maisons-Laffitte last time out. Arrives here fresh and connections are very confident.

Race 5 - Wokingham Stakes 5:00pm

Spring Loaded

Always seems to save its best performances for this track and having been targeted at this race a big run can be expected especially with the talented Dylan Hogan taking 5lb off.

Race 6 - Queen Alexandra Stakes 5:35

Coeur Blimey

Good hurdle form and has won five times on soft ground including last time out at Newbury over 2m2f.
