River Music Experience – River Currents Tour

The River Currents Tour teaches the kids about the History of American Roots Music using the Mississippi River as our guide. We discuss how African rhythm played a direct role in shaping our music genres such as Jazz, Blues, Gospel, R & B, Soul, Rock and Roll and so on. It’s important to relay to the students that you can’t have one without the other. Through the rhythm, improvisation and expression, America created art forms that forever changed the world.
