Police presence at protest at home of Illinois Department of Corrections employee

There was a police presence at a protest outside the home of an Illinois Department of Corrections employee in Kewanee February 11.
The protest happened in the 400th block of E. McClure St. Police say it involved a busload of people from Galesburg, including known gang members. Law enforcement from the Kewanee Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police and the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) responded. Kewanee Police said the protest was peaceful and lasted around 15 minutes.
Law enforcement say they are continuing to monitor the situation and have patrols keeping watch on the IDOC employee.
