New apartments are now open in downtown Moline. The top eight floors of the former Chase Bank building have been transformed into apartments. A ribbon cutting for what developers are calling the “5 &15 Apartments” was held on Tuesday. The historic apartments feature furnished and un-furnished units as well as river and downtown views. Michelle Solis-Russel worked closely with the development of the apartments and says they’ve kept the historic elements of the building. “It’s a historic building renovated into 31 apartments. All of them are one bedroom with an exception of one two-bedroom. We’ve honored the historic elements, and every unit is unique and very cool,” she said. Nine of the apartments have already been rented.
