Miguel Oliveira is a Portuguese professional motorcycle racer. At the 2015 Italian motorcycle car race, Oliveira achieved the primary World Championship victory for a Portuguese rider. He was born on January 4, 1995, in Almada, Portugal.
Oliveira’s father was also a motorcycle racer and he gifted him his first quad-bike when he was four years old. He kicked off racing in the national championship just at the age of nine, in the Portuguese MiniGP Championship in 2004, winning the Young Promise of the Year award in Portugal. His first achievement came in 2005 when he won the Portuguese MiniGP championship and Metrakit World Festival in Spain.
Oliveira is studying to become a dentist simultaneously with his racing career. In September 2020, Miguel announced his engagement to his stepsister Andreia Pimenta.

Career
Miguel started his career in the 2011 Motorcycling Grand Prix, in the 125cc Championship with the Andalucía-Cajasol team. He used an Italian motorcycle Aprilia. He earned six top-ten finishes in his first season but did not compete in the final races after the team failed to secure financial support to end the season. In 2012, he joined Estrella Galicia 0,0 team and moved to Moto3 machinery. During 2013-14, he joined Mahindra Racing and once again developing a new bike with Suter, with a Mahindra-badged engine – based on 2012’s Honda unit.
In 2015, he joined Red Bull KTM Ajo and became the first Portuguese rider to win a motorcycle Grand Prix with a victory at Mugello.
