"Mark was one of the top-five goalies in the world and then, at the start of the season, he was out of the team," she says. "Chelsea made him train with the youth team and the reserves. Then the club ordered him to go and watch the reserves and not even play with them. Then came the stories about his salary - the goalie on the bench on £42,000 a week, that sort of thing - and suddenly we were being photographed out together to give a picture of some sort of rock-star lifestyle. I mean, come on. Nobody can handle that. They couldn't push him out and he didn't crack ... so luckily for them something else happened.
