Lorie Kirkley Murder Update, In 2022 Where is David Malinski Now?

Lorainne “Lorie” Kirkley, a nurse from Valparaiso, Indiana, was killed by her boss, David Malinski, in 1999. Malinski took her hostage, tortured her, and then killed her.

When Lorie Kirkley disappeared from her home in 1999, the detectives were in a race against time to find her.

Local news outlets paid a lot of attention to the case because of the strange break-in at her home and the strange note that the kidnapper allegedly left.

Even though no body had been found at the time of the trial, Lori’s killer was found guilty because of how the investigation turned out.

Lorie Kirkley Murder Update In 2022

The last time anyone saw Lorie Kirkley, she was 34 years old. She was married to Robert Kirkley and they lived in Valparaiso, Indiana. People who knew Lori liked her a lot.

She was the top student in her high school and worked as a cardiac rehabilitation nurse at a hospital nearby.

Robert had just gotten a job in South Bend, Indiana, and they were getting ready to move there. They were also thinking about starting a family. But that chance would never come for the two of them.

Lorie’s burned-out car was found in a cornfield on July 24, but she was nowhere to be found. In September 2005, after almost six years,

Lorie was found buried on a farm. A thick black plastic bag and a brown sheet were used to cover her. An autopsy showed that Lorie had been killed by being strangled.

While the police were looking for Lorie, they learned something else that made them think she might have been killed.

What happened to David Malinski?

David Malinski was found guilty of two counts of burglary. He was also accused of murder, theft of a vehicle, arson, illegal imprisonment, and criminally deviant behavior.

He was given a sentence of 155 years in prison. David admitted to killing Lori almost six years after she went missing. He told the police that he had become a Christian again while he was in jail.

He took them to where her body was found. It was buried on land owned by his family. Prison records show that David is still being held at the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City, Indiana. He can’t get out of prison until at least July 2076.

David Malinski, who just got out of prison, hasn’t been accused of killing Lorie Kirkley as of 2022. But we thought that even if he got out of jail, he would have made a new name for himself.

Malinski tried to show that he and Kirkley were having an affair on their own terms and that everything that happened before she went missing was part of a complicated plan to get out of what he thought was a bad marriage.

The police didn’t believe his lies, though, and the case against him got stronger.

Reports say that Lorie Kirkley was killed, and the person who did it said he or she was sorry. The letter said that Lorie wouldn’t work with the attacker and bit his finger when he tried to cover her mouth.

The police found one of Lorie’s shoes there as well. The killer was still on the loose, and it was said that the police were now looking into a possible murder.

A break in the case came when a woman told the police that she thought her husband had done the crime. The missing things were at the Kirkleys’ house. So, the investigators turned their attention to David Malinski.

The 34-year-old was someone Lorie worked with. David said that he had broken into the Kirkleys’ house before, when there was a homemade Valentine’s Day card and a sexually explicit photo there.
