Mental health problems affect everyone. Ten percent of children and twenty-five percent of adults in American struggle with mental illness. They are our friends, our family and even us. Studies show that people with mental health problems can get better and many recover completely and live, work, learn, and participate fully in our community. That is the goal of the Vera French Community Mental Health Center, the Vera French Housing Corporation and the Vera French Foundation.
Their consortium of three non-profit organizations work together to better our community while helping individuals and families cope with mental illness.
