The Bettendorf Public Library’s popular Community Connections event series will welcome a representative of Nahant Marsh on Thursday, March 14, a news release says.

The educational program will show how to incorporate native plants into home landscapes. “Community Connections: Enrich Your Yard with Native Plants” will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Bettendorf Public Library, 2950 Learning Campus Drive. Registration is not required, and the event is free.

Nahant Marsh preserve and education center is at 4220 Wapello Ave., Davenport.

Nahant Marsh offers educational programming that focuses on Midwest ecosystems, conservation, and stewardship. The presentation will help attendees identify yard ecosystem types, native plants that are best suited for those habitats, wildlife that will benefit from them, and resources to get started.

Community Connections is sponsored by the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library. For
