Hillsdale resident Landon DeLease, a student at Taconic Hills Central School District, passed away. On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, he died in a fatal vehicle crash.

Taconic Hills Central School District posted a statement confirming the development, stating, “Taconic Hills Community, Two of our pupils were engaged in an automobile accident after school this evening, we found out. We regret to inform you that one student has died and the other has been transported to the hospital by air.
