Kancharla Srikanth is a Telugu Desam party candidate, who won the Rayalaseema East seat (Prakasam-Nellore-Chittoor) on Saturday, 18 March 2023. Kancharla won the seat by a margin of 34,110 votes opposed to his nearest rival Pernati Shyam Prasad Reddy of the YSRC.
The counting of votes ended in a total of 2,69,339 votes polled, and 20,979 votes were invalid.
Telugu Desam candidate Kancharla was leading since the 1st round of counting. However, he could not get 50 percent of the total polled votes during 1st priority.
After the 2nd priority vote counting, Kancharla got 1,24,181 votes and his nearest opposition Shyam Prasad got 90.071 votes.
The Progressive Democratic Front candidate Meegada Venkateswara Reddy is in the 3rd position.
