Joseph Hess Death; Victim Fatally Shot To Death In Bountiful City

On Friday, an adult male was allegedly shot and killed inside of a residence in Bountiful, and an investigation into the incident is currently underway. At around 11:20 in the morning, the event took place in the vicinity of 615 Millcreek Way.

In addition, South Davis Metro Fire responded to a victim who had been shot once. The victim contained a single gunshot wound. According to Lieutenant Andrew Smith of the Bountiful City Police Department, “Unfortunately, despite the fact that life-saving measures were administered to him, he has now passed away.”

That male victim, Jacob Hess, who was 20 years old, was found to have a single gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene for his injuries. At this point in time, it is thought that three young men in their twenties were in possession of a firearm when suddenly it went off.

The suspect, identified as Dylan Goodin, who is 21 years old, was taken to the hospital for treatment of an injury he got during the event. He is currently working with the current investigation.

Manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia were the charges that Goodin was currently facing when he was booked.
