In the early hours of Sunday, August 27, 2023, at approximately 2:02 AM, the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office received notification regarding a tragic motorbike incident that claimed the lives of two individuals.

In Grant Park, Illinois, the incident took place near the intersection of 14770 East and 12000 North Road. According to preliminary findings from the police, a motorcycle travelling in the eastbound direction collided with a deer, resulting in the motorcycle veering off the road and the ejection of both individuals on board.

In a recent development, the driver involved in the incident has been identified as Jerry E. Adcock, a 34-year-old resident of Crown Point, Indiana. Accompanying him was Alyssa R. Sullivan, also 34 years old and hailing from Crown Point, Indiana.

At approximately 3:00 AM, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.

Autopsies are scheduled to take place on August 28, 2023 for both individuals.

The investigation into this incident is currently being conducted by the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office and the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Department.
