Police are searching for the driver of a Corvette that struck and killed a man in Hollywood and may have been street racing.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday at the junction of La Brea Avenue and Sunset Boulevard.

According to police, the driver of the 2022–23 blue Chevrolet Corvette struck a man who was pronounced deceased at the scene while probably racing a white sedan nearby. That car’s driver sped off without making a halt.

The agency stated that speed may have contributed to the fatal collision, but the investigation is still underway.

The deceased has been unofficially identified as James Zandstra.
