Jaida Rosado and Jalean Gibbs Car Accident: The Chicago community is reeling from the shocking news of a fatal car accident on DuSable Lake Shore Drive, South Side Chicago, that claimed the lives of two individuals, one of whom was a cherished teacher at the renowned Chicago International Charter School (CICS Bucktown). The devastating incident occurred on Monday night around 8:48 p.m. in the 3000-block of DuSable Lake Shore Drive, taking away beloved teacher Jaida Rosado alongside Jalean Gibbs.

On that fateful evening, the victims were travelling in a Nissan car heading south on DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Their journey took a tragic turn when a Chevrolet sedan, attempting a lane change, collided with their vehicle. The impact caused the Nissan to lose control and subsequently crash into a tree.

In the aftermath, emergency services rushed to the scene. The male driver and a female passenger from the Nissan were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Centre, where they were tragically pronounced dead. Two other female passengers, both aged 21, were also in the Nissan at the time of the crash and were rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

On the other hand, the occupants of the Chevrolet sedan – a male driver and a female passenger – were taken to Stroger Hospital, with their condition reported as fair.

The Chicago Police Department’s Major Accidents Unit has taken the helm of the investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding this heart-wrenching incident. As the inquiries continue, the community, especially the CICS Bucktown fraternity, is grappling with the loss of a devoted educator who touched the lives of many.
