Ivy Gray and Kaile McLean Obituary-Death News; Victims, Ivy Gray and Kaile McLean Passes Away in Greensboro Shooting

A mother and daughter are dead after a police chase on Saturday morning, according to the Greensboro Police Department, and a man is being charged with two counts of murder.

Around 12:44 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to the 3000 block of Lawndale Drive in response to a report of gunfire. When police got on the site, they found two victims who had been shot. Perhaps their wounds were what killed them.

Investigators have identified the fatalities as Ivy Grey, 41, and Kaile McLean, 22. A homicide investigation was launched after their wounds, which ultimately resulted in their deaths. The police claim that McLean and Grey are mother and daughter. Witnesses provided the police with a description of the perpetrator and his vehicle.

A responding police officer noticed a car that matched the description at Cone Boulevard and Chruch Street, and they attempted to stop the driver. Investigators claim that when the suspect, 28-year-old Justin Montrell Lyons, refused to stop and drove away, a pursuit began.

According to a police statement, Lyons lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a power pole close to Yanceyville Street and Yadkin Road, ending the pursuit.

Following the impact, he was detained and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. Authorities caution that Lyons could face further charges in the future. He is already charged with two counts of first-degree murder. As of right moment, the shooting’s motivation is a mystery.
