Is Berserk Manga Finished? Explained
The seminal dark fantasy manga Berserk was left unfinished when revered creator Kentaro Miura suddenly passed away in 2021. Though Miura never intended to conclude the sprawling epic, his tragic death seemed to abruptly end the acclaimed journey of the lone swordsman Guts.

Mori will collaborate closely with Miura’s assistants to remain faithful to Miura’s sweeping vision for Berserk’s future. They aim to carefully pick up the manga’s threads where Miura left off, drawing inspiration from the trove of content Miura left behind.
This includes character designs, story notes, and, crucially, the ending that Miura privately relates to Mori, entrusting him with Berserk’s intended conclusion.
As the sole confidant of Miura’s creative ambitions, Mori feels duty-bound to see through his late friend’s wishes for the series. He will work closely with Miura’s creative team at Studio Gaga, who strive to uphold Miura’s singular artistic legacy.
