Every year, Spotify users eagerly wait for the streaming service’s annual ‘Wrapped’ feature which compiles stats about your music habits – but you won’t have to wait until December with Spotify Pie.

Launched in 2017, Wrapped lets 406 million worldwide users see exactly what songs, albums, artists and genres they’ve been listening to most in the past year.

If you’ve been on Spotify for a long time, Wrapped can even tell you stats from as far back as a decade, compare how the music you listen to has changed and curate a playlist based on your top music from the year.

It’s a great feature, but it’s horrible waiting until the end of the year to see your music stats. Thankfully, with this new Spotify Pie tool, you won’t have to…

Spotify Pie takes over the internet

A new tool has gone viral in June called Spotify Pie that compiles date from your Spotify and turns it into a pie chart.

The feature isn’t affiliated with the streaming service in any way but uses your Spotify data to show exactly what music genres and artists you have been listening to most.

It was developed by a UCLA student Darren Huang who asks people to “Bake Your Monthly Genre Pie” on his Spotify Pie website.

How to see your Spotify Pie Chart

Making your Spotify Pie is really easy. All you have to do is head to Darren’s website and tap ‘log in’ which will prompt you to log in to your Spotify account.

Enter your email and password and you will be asked to allow the site to view your Spotify account data and activity on Spotify.

Now press ‘agree’ and voila, your personal pie chart will appear based on your listing habits in June so far! The pie will show you what genres you listen to most and a list of your top artists will also appear underneath.

If it’s not working, that’s probably because you don’t listen to enough music on Spotify to make one. A new pie chart can be generated every month but it only works for Spotify streamers – sorry Apple Music users!

The Spotify Pie Chart tool has taken over Twitter this month as everyone posts their top genres.

Everyone except for Apple Music users that is.

Lots of people are embarrassed by their top genres.

Guys I did that Spotify pie chart thingy people are doing and I’m severely embarrassed by the second most listened to genre and then my main artist😭
