Customers of banks who are yet to update their records with the Ghana Card have up to 1st July to do so or else they risk not being able to engage in any financial transaction through their accounts.

This is as a result of Bank of Ghana (BoG) directive that states that starting 1st July, the Ghana Card shall be the only identification card to undertake transactions at all licensed and regulated financial institutions.

• With this process you would have to call your bank for their update link or wait for an official text message containing a link to update your records.
• Note however that the safest method is to visit the bank since scammers can send you a wrong link to access your bank details for malicious purposes
