How to Beat Zanzo Boss in Hi-Fi Rush

Hi-Fi Rush is the rhythm action game made by Tango Gameworks that was announced and released at Xbox’s Developer_Direct press conference. In the game, you take control of a boy named Chai, that ends up in a situation where he has to defeat a mega-corporation called Vandelay Industries in a cyberpunk world. As you progress through the game, you have to defeat six bosses that run different parts of Vendelay Industries. Zanzo is one of those six bosses, and here is how to beat him in Hi-Fi Rush.

How to Beat Zanzo Boss in Hi-Fi Rush

Zanzo is one of the leaders in Vandelay that mostly designs and experiments with new things to make even more powerful robots. There is a catch, though. He is so busy with creativity that he forgets to consider the company’s budget.

So when you start to defeat Zanzo, you actually don’t fight him at all. All you have to do is go through different stages and defeat everything Zanzo throws at you. Every robot he sends to defeat you will cause him to drain his budget. Once he spends all the budget, he will be defeated.

As you go through areas, you will face different challenges. The first one is to defeat a PGR-0101 that has a shield that only Macaron can break. After a little bit, smaller robots will appear that you have to destroy as well.

Then there is the volcanic area filled with lava that shouldn’t pose any threats. You can easily make it through the volcanic area, but it is worth noting to make sure you know when and where you jump. There is also the stage where Zanzo brings some volcano that shoots volcanic balls. You can easily dodge them by looking at the floor, which indicates where and when they will hit the ground.

All this fighting will take place in a simulation created by an AI that Zanzo designed. After clearing each swarm of enemies, you will get a chance to hit the actual AI that looks quite similar to HAL 9000 from A Space Odyssey. You have to beat the AI in rhythmic QTE at the end of each swarm.

How to Beat Korsica Boss in Hi-Fi Rush

Once you’ve made Zanzo use the last penny he has, a cutscene will play that shows he wants to launch his mecha, but the budget runs out, and then Chai will beat him and get the USB he needs.
