Season 3 of Jack Ryan exploded onto Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

The Prime Video series has seen Jack Ryan embark on some highly dangerous missions so far, beginning in season 1 where he foiled a terrorist plot to assassinate the US president and continuing in season 2 where he and his colleague James Greer were caught up in the political turmoil surrounding Venezuela’s president as he attempted to retain power by any means necessary.

In season 3, Jack Ryan is working in Rome when he receives a tip-off that the Sokol Project, a secret plan to restore the Soviet Empire, is being resurrected.

Ryan quickly sets about trying to confirm the intelligence when complications arise and he is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy.

Accused of treason and with a Red Notice issued for his arrest, Jack is forced to go on the run from his own government, as he ventures on a crisscrossing journey throughout Europe to clear his name and prevent a global catastrophe.

How many episodes are in Jack Ryan season 3?

Jack Ryan season 3 will consist of eight episodes in total.

The episode count should come as little surprise to veteran fans of the series as both seasons 1 and 2 also featured eight chapters each.

Another bonus for fans is that all eight episodes will be released in one binge-friendly bundle, meaning viewers can watch the new season at their own pace without having to wait weekly for new episodes.

Will there be a season 4?

Yes, Jack Ryan has already been renewed by Amazon for a fourth season.

The news came way back in October 2021 but was followed several months later, in May 2022, with the confirmation that season 4 will be Jack Ryan’s final installment.

Hopefully, the early renewal means that fans won’t be left waiting another agonizing three years for the next season.

On top of Jack Ryan season 4, however, it was also announced that a spin-off series is in development, set to revolve around Michael Peña’s character, Domingo “Ding” Chavez, who is introduced in season 3.
