Helen Adams Keller was born on the 27 June 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama, United States. She holds American nationality. She died on 1 June 1968 in Easton, Connecticut, United States. She was born to Arthur H. Keller (father) and Kate Adams Keller (mother) and she had four children and their names are James Keller, Mildred Keller, William Simpson Keller, and Phillips Keller.
Their family lived in Ivy Green, which had been established decades earlier by Helen’s grandfather. He had two full siblings from his father’s first marriage, Mildred Campbell (Keller) Tyson and Philip Brooks Keller, and two older half-brothers, James McDonald Keller and William Simpson Keller.
Helen Keller toured the United States and 35 countries around the world to advocate for individuals who had lost their sight. Helen advocated for people with disabilities, women’s suffrage, labor rights, and world peace. She joined the Socialist Party of America in 1909. He helped start the American Civil Liberties Union.
Sullivan taught Helen linguistic skills such as reading and writing. Helen attended Harvard University’s Radcliffe College and became the first deaf person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree after attending both elite and mainstream institutions.

She died on 1 Jun 1968 in Easton, Connecticut, USA. Helen suffered several strokes in 1961 and spent the rest of her life at home. Helen spent a significant part of her later life soliciting donations for the American Foundation for the Blind. She died in his sleep on June 1, 1968, at his home in Arcane Ridge, Easton, Connecticut, a few weeks before his 88th birthday.
Helen Keller’s body was cremated in Bridgeport, Connecticut, followed by a funeral rite at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC. Her ashes were buried at Washington National Cathedral alongside those of his regular companions, Anne Sullivan, and Polly Thomson.

In June 1916, when Helen Keller was 36, she met Peter Fagan, a journalist, with whom she fell in love. Peter Fagan, like Helen, was also a socialist. Both of them made a plan of marriage without informing anyone but if the marriage could not happen, they made a plan to run away but failed.
Her family strongly objected as they believed that women with disabilities should not marry, which ultimately led to the failure of the couple’s plans. She remains influential and respected even after her death.
