Gabriel Abarca Motorcycle Accident: The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has disclosed the identities of three people who died in a freak accident at an intersection in Azusa on Wednesday.

At around 4 p.m. on October 4, the California Highway Patrol and the Azusa Police Department received reports of a traffic collision at the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and Arrow Highway.

Two motorcyclists were travelling eastbound on Arrow Highway at high speeds when one motorcycle went airborne and struck a pedestrian standing on a street corner.

Both the rider and the pedestrian were killed in the accident. The two have been identified as 31-year-old Brandon Mendoza and 22-year-old Marcos Loera.

Authorities say the motorcycles also struck five other vehicles at the accident scene.

The second motorcyclist, who has since been identified as 23-year-old Gabriel Abarca, was rushed to an area hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics swiftly responded to the scene, providing aid amidst the wreckage. Despite their efforts, Gabriel Abarca’s life could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
