Ferruccio Ferragamo has served as Executive Chairman of the Board of Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A. since April 20, 2018. He has devoted his career to the family business, which he joined in 1963, initially managing production and the company’s stores before moving on to Finance and Administration. In 1970, Ferruccio Ferragamo became General Manager of the Company and was appointed as Group CEO in 1984, a position which he held until 2006, when the family decided to bring in a manager from outside the Company. In 2006, Ferruccio Ferragamo was named as Chairman of Salvatore Ferragamo Italia S.p.A., now known as Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A.. Since 1996, he has also served as CEO of Ferragamo Finanziaria S.p.A., the holding company that controls Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A.. Today, Ferruccio Ferragamo holds a number of other positions, including Chairman of Polimoda and he is also a member of the General Council of Assonime, the Association of the Italian joint stock companies. He has previously served on the Boards of Directors of Fondiaria Assicurazioni S.p.A., Marzotto S.p.A., Pitti Immagine S.r.l. Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze and was a member of the Board of Directors of Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana.
