Fans speculate 'Taekook subunit' as BTS V shares IG snap with Jungkook

BTS V continues to cause a social media storm worldwide with his new Instagram posts. After breaking a record with his ‘Squid Game’ picture, V shared a new snap that has been taking over Twitter trends. The latest Instagram post that includes a selfie with the youngest vocalist, Jungkook, has led to fans speculate the much-awaited ‘Taekook’ subunit finally dropping.
V, aka Kim Taehyung, previously teased about a Christmas subunit with Jungkook in his iconic post-concert Vlive, where Jimin and JK joined the ‘Sweet Night’ crooner to have a heart to heart with fans after the first day of the offline concert in LA.
While not much was revealed at the time, BTS V‘s latest legendary IG snap has made fans wonder if it is a clue to a future subunit of the extremely talented vocal duo.

BTS V takes over Twitter trends with latest IG post
So far, Kim Taehyung has managed to break a number of world records on Instagram within a few hours of his debut on the platform. The 26-year-old ‘Snow Flower’ crooner is the fastest individual in IG history to get 19.1 million followers in 24 hours.
Plus, Kim Taehyung is the only Asian act to have five Instagram posts with over 10 million likes.
His latest IG post consists of two polaroids from James Corden’s show and one with BTS member Jungkook, and has garnered over 2 million likes in just 21 minutes.

Kim Taehyung’s Instagram post leads fans to speculate a Taekook subunit for Christmas
Kim Taehyung’s IG post with Jungkook is making fans hopeful about their plans of releasing a song together for Christmas 2021. Earlier on Vlive, Kim Taehyung shared that the two have worked on a song together and they can release something similar for Christmas.
Taehyung’s Christmas 2020 track ‘Snow Flower’ received a sea of critical appreciation, praising the song as a clear sign of Taehyung’s mastery of evoking imagery and ‘a testament to V’s sonic and thematic maturity.’
Both BTS V and Jungkook have established themselves as the two most talented vocalists of South Korea and fans can’t wait to hear the duo’s creation if it becomes a reality this Christmas.
Swooning over the speculation of a Taekook subunit, a fan shared the snap of the duo and wrote, “it’s confirmed. Taekook subunit on Christmas!”
A second fan echoed, “TAE IS SERIOUSLY UPTO SOMETHING THIS CHRISTMAS OR MAYBE NOT, WE ARE THIS CLOSE TO TAEKOOK SUBUNIT!”
Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but BTS fans are hoping to finally see the two Billboard-charting singers and songwriters coming together in a subunit to release what will likely be a history-making song together.
