Dream Scenario Filming Locations: Where Is The Comedy Movie Shot?

Kristoffer Borgli wrote and directed the American surrealist comedy Dream Scenario in 2023. Its cast includes Nicolas Cage, Julianne Nicholson, Michael Cera, Tim Meadows, Dylan Gelula, and Dylan Baker.

The film is being produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen under their Square Peg label alongside Nicolas Cage, Jacob Jaffke, and Tyler Campellone. The protagonist of the tale is a helpless professor who unexpectedly becomes well-known after showing up in everyone’s dreams.

Dream Scenario made its global premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9, 2023. A24 will release the movie on November 10, 2023. Before it started receiving notice at summer film festivals, A24’s Dream Scenario was a little-known movie.

Principal photography for the comedy picture Dream Scenario began on October 17, 2022, and it was finished on November 19, 2022, primarily in and around Toronto and Burlington, Ontario.

In the movie Dream Scenario, Nicolas Cage plays Professor Paul Matthews, a reclusive loser with little to no social interaction. That is, until several completely unconnected people start seeing Paul in their dreams, and Paul now feels connected to just about everyone.

The college professor will look for explanations as to why he has suddenly started making cameo appearances in other people’s subconscious minds because how and why this happened are utter mysteries.

That sounds more like a sci-fi or fantasy mystery, yet the movie has been termed a horror comedy, so perhaps Paul wishes he had left these questions unresolved. As previously announced, Nicolas Cage will be the film’s major actor.

The Face-Off actor is a genuinely talented performer who has repeatedly shown that he is a committed tour de force. Better yet, there are other notable actors in the movie besides Cage. Michael Cera from The Adults, who recently made headlines once more for his enduring performance as Allan in Barbie, is also attached.

Julianne Nicholson, who won an Emmy for her work in Mare of Easttown, is also a member of the cast. Tim Meadows and Dylan Baker from The Goldbergs and Hunters can also be counted on to make cameos.
