Kelsea told Morgan Evans on August 29 that they were getting a divorce, but she didn’t say why. Kelsea was the first person to tell her ex-husband the news.

Evans wrote on his Instagram stories, “I’m very sad to say that Kelsea and I are splitting up after almost 5 years of marriage. I wish things were different, but they’re not.”

Kelsea’s statement confirms that she and Morgan are healing and will be focusing on their careers instead.

In late 2014, she released her debut single “Love Me Like You Mean It”, which debuted on the Country Airplay chart in October 2014. In November, she put out an EP called “Self-Titled” for the label.
