Divya Mittal IAS Biography:– Divya Mittal is a district magistrate and collector of Sant Kabir Nagar since September 2020. She had been vice-chairperson at Bareilly Development Authority from February 2019 to September 2020.

She served as joint Managing director at UP State Industrial Development Authority from April 2018 to February 2019. She served as a chief development officer and sub-divisional magistrate of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Divya Mittal is an IAS officer of the 2013 batch. Recently UP government transferred 14 IAS officers into 10 new areas of UP including Divya Mittal. She completed her B.Tech in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi in 2005.

She did her MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Banglore in 2007. She studied at MITx on edX and earned a micro master’s degree in 2020.

Divya Mittal got the inspiration to become an IAS from her husband Gagandeep Singh. Gagandeep Singh, who lived in Giddarbagh, a small town in Bathinda, was also talented in studies. He did his early studies in Punjab itself. Was an engineering student, and after marriage joined the job with Divya.

Gagandeep had earlier worked in many places including Singapore. Divya tells that there was a lot of money abroad but still Gagandeep did not feel like there. He asked them to go back to India, it was difficult to decide to leave a good job.

At the end of much discussion, both decided that whatever they do, they will do it in their own country. Then both of them came to Delhi and started preparing for IAS. Divya tells that she and Gagandeep never coached to become an IAS. Studied at home.

Gagandeep qualified for IAS in 2011 and she did in 2012. Both are IAS of the UP cadre. Husband Gagandeep Singh is posted in IAS Allied in the service of the Government of India in Kanpur.
