Crews respond to Bettendorf fire

UPDATE: According to a release, Bettendorf Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire at 3565 53rd Avenue. The fire started on the outside of the building and was held from spreading further into the home by the sprinkler head inside the front door. Fire personnel extinguished the fire on the outside of the building and checked for fire extension in the walls. The fire is currently under investigation.
Emergency crews responded to a fire in Bettendorf on Wednesday.
No one was home or injured during the fire at the Springs at Bettendorf Apartments in the 3900 block of 53rd Avenue.
The Bettendorf Fire Department assisted by the Riverdale and Rock Island Arsenal fire departments.
