Bernard Shaw was CNN’s lead prime-time anchor for 20 years,  died on Wednesday 7 September 202, he was 82 years old at the time of his death. The news of his death was confirmed by Chris Licht, who is CNN’s chief executive and chairman in a statement.

Bernard’s cause of death was pneumonia unrelated to COVID-19, his family said that on Thursday. Shaw died at Washington Hospital in Washington, DC, the United States of America.
