A Chucky fan imagines a horror-focused Chuck E. Cheese restaurant with a Child’s Play theme in new fan art. The pizza-joint-turned entertainment center Chuck E. Cheese, has been around since 1977. The Child’s Play series began 11 years later in 1988. Child’s Play introduced the demonic doll Chucky to fans. Since then, Chucky and his bride have appeared in numerous sequels and spinoffs. Most recently, Child’s Play was adapted into a Syfy network TV series called Chucky. Chucky began in 2021 and has wrapped its second season.

Chuck E Cheese’s anthropomorphic mouse mascot and the evil animate doll from Child’s Play combine in new art that redesigns Chuck E. Cheese to be Chucky-themed. Made by Caleb Adams, the transformed Chuck E Cheese sees a slight name change to Chucky Cheese in the reimagined exterior The mouse is replaced by a large statue of the Chucky doll wielding a knife. Chucky Cheese’s interior sees a horror-movie take on classic play structures, including indoor playground equipment titled Severed Bowel Play Tunnel. Check out the fan images below.

Could A Horror-Themed Restaurant Work In Real Life?

Adams does a remarkable job visually combining Chuck E. Cheese with Child’s Play for this Chucky Cheese. As the title suggests, the Child’s Play film series itself takes classic children’s playthings, namely a doll, and reinterprets them to be bloodthirsty and malicious to serve Child Play’s horror plot. The Chucky Cheese fan art design thus leans into the already-present contrasts in Child’s Play, taking a popular childhood entertainment destination and infusing it with an homage to a horror film that takes a similar approach.

Chucky Cheese obviously doesn’t exist in real life. However, a horror-focused restaurant like this could work for some fans. Of course, it would cater to an older audience than the average Chuck E. Cheese goer, but with Child’s Play regaining popularity after the Chucky TV show, something like this may have a market. Adam’s more literal translations of elements like play structures may have to change if a Child’s Play restaurant were to actually exist, as adults would be less likely to clamor around claustrophobic tubes and bacteria-ridden slides. However, a horror restaurant like this could be a version of popular themed attractions like escape rooms, which cater mostly to adults.

What’s Next for Child’s Play?

While an actual themed restaurant for Child’s Play is not in the works any time soon, the Child’s Play franchise is far from over. Chucky season 2 has thrown fans for a loop with its events and potential major character deaths, and the season is still in full swing. Chucky has episodes airing Wednesdays until the end of November. What is next for Chucky after that is yet unknown, but with the franchise 30 years and counting, Child’s Play and Chucky content is almost sure to last a while longer.
