TikTok’s latest trend known as the Ceiling Challenge is taking over the app as creators tape their phones to the wall and dance towards the camera.
Many dancers seem to think TikTok has found the best ‘twerking angle’ thanks to the easy trick you can do at home to complete the viral Ceiling Challenge.

A brand new TikTok trend known as the Ceiling Challenge involves sticking your phone to the ceiling using some form of tape and dancing toward the camera above you.
At the heart of the Ceiling Challenge is the song titled “Surround Sound” by J.I.D, featuring 21 Savage and Baby Tate.
The song’s energetic rhythm sure has everyone on the app dancing as the TikTok sound currently has over 57,000 videos made using the catchy tune.
The viral hashtag #CeilingChallenge has reached over 317 million views.
Many of the popular videos show people twerking but some creators have chosen to get involved in more wild ways.
TikTok’s Ceiling Challenge doesn’t have to include twerking
The Ceiling Challenge has stormed social media as people from all over the world are getting involved in the crazy trend.
However, the trend does not have to include twerking. Many creators have gotten involved in the Ceiling Challenge by simply singing underneath the camera.
Some people have even attempted to catch other people out using the Ceiling Challenge. A TikTok user named @max_and_karyn1620 caught her husband off guard when he noticed the phone taped to the ceiling.
Other creators have even taped their phones to the ceiling only to record themselves sleeping in bed.
Creative TikTokers have used the Ceiling Challenge to show things like hairstyle techniques and performing crochet crafts.
The TikTok trend has even made its way over to Instagram as creators across the Internet trial the challenge.
Some Ceiling Challenge attempts are more successful than others as a viral video posted by @samspedy shows the dancer getting caught during their twerking session.
Another viral TikTok video suggests that some people struggle to get involved in the Ceiling Challenge as they can’t reach the ceiling and don’t have the tape.
