On Sunday, December 17, 2023, in the afternoon, his death was officially declared. At the age of 79, Cary Nosler, popularly known as “Captain Carrot,” unexpectedly passed away.

He was staying with his son Gavin and his family on the island of Koh Chang, Thailand. So far, no official news on his cause of death has been released. “Cary was a longtime friend. I will miss our conversations.”

On May 10, 1944, Cary Allan Nosler was born in Sacramento, California. El Camino Fundamental High School was his alma mater. Cary attended California State University, Sacramento, to study psychology after graduating from high school.

Cary aired an underground radio show called “The Fantasy Machine” on KJML prior to being one of the first deejays at KZAP. Cary was genuinely exceptional and embodied the values he promoted.
