Did you know that 10-year-old Brie Larson definitely takes breaks on her library computer to look up Google Wikihow for “How do you know if you’re gay?” It wasn’t anyone’s first guess, but it was the answer Larson gave when she completed an online quiz about herself. She did quizzes for her YouTube channel. This video, as expected, became everyone’s response when asked: “Is Brie Larson gay?” Regardless of what she says, she hasn’t officially come out as gay.
Fans are eager to meet Gay Brie Larson on the big screen
Larson has a lover, whom she often shows off on social networks, so it is likely that she is not a lesbian. However, they did not give up hope. If not in real life, they’d be happy to see Larson play a gay character on the big screen, especially after seeing LGBT influences in her MCU Captain Marvel movie.

I found the captain surprised. How wonderful. I’ll rate it: definitely gay.

Larson’s character doesn’t have a male partner, which is one of the LGBT signs considered. She also has a daughter, whom she raised alongside another female character in the film, Air Force pilot Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch). That being said, Larson and Lynch’s on-screen romance isn’t classic either.

When Captain Marvel filmmakers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck were asked if fans were interested in anything, they gave a puzzling answer, according to Comic Book Movie (via Cosmopolitan). The filmmakers say that Larson’s love interest in the first Captain Marvel movie was explored in the early stages of production.
In the end, they determined that the story was too deep to explore a romantic side. However, they are fully aware of how fans swap different characters in the movie and at least they are not opposed to the concept. I’m sure people have come to their own conclusions about it, and I think that’s part of the fun of producing these pictures: they become films for audiences and they can develop any form of expression. what kind of narrative they want for what’s happening on screen. Marvel has traditionally avoided including LGBTQ+ characters in its big-budget efforts because some of the world’s biggest entertainment markets won’t allow LGBTQ to appear on screen.
While it is understandable for a commercial brand to hold back on something if it means reaching broader markets, the reality is that representing LGBTQ+ has suffered as a result of that, Very disappointing to say the least.
MCU’s LGBTQ+ Superhero
But to be fair, director Kevin Feige announced in 2019 that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie would be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first LGBTQ+ superhero. Since then, fans have been ready with the Thompson-Larson couple to appear on the big screen. Thankfully, the couple confirmed their theory during a 2019 visit to the ACE Comic-Con event (via Surname).
