Brady Roy Wehage Obituary: Gresham man identified as victim in fatal Thanksgiving motorcycle crash on Marquam Bridge.

A resident of Gresham was identified as the motorcyclist who died in a single-vehicle collision on the Marquam Bridge on Thanksgiving morning.

On Thursday morning, November 23, 22-year-old Brady Roy Wehage lost control of his vehicle while traveling south on the bottom deck of the Interstate 5 bridge. Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered that other drivers were making attempts at first aid. After being taken by ambulance to a neighboring hospital, Wehage passed away in spite of attempts to save his life.

While the collision was being examined, the freeway remained closed for a number of hours. It is thought that speed had a role.

The crash was Portland’s 65th fatal crash of 2023, with one suicide and one medical incident.

Investigation is ongoing.
