While many associated with the club may deem it a failure for not securing the title, the Gunners finished second and confirmed their Champions League spot for next season.

That will help Arsenal attract better players as Arteta's side go again next season to try and usurp Pep Guardiola's City.

Arsenal's main summer transfer business is focused around Declan Rice. The West Ham midfielder is a top target for the Gunners after the England star guided the Hammers to Europa Conference League success.

Arsenal are said to be readying a £92m offer to sign Rice, with Arteta hoping the all-action midfielder will help the Gunners get over the line in the title race next season.

It's also claimed the Gunners are eyeing Brighton's Moises Caicedo - player Arteta tried to sign in the January transfer window. However, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will move for Rice and Caicedo.

The Gunners will also look to shift a few players in the summer, with Kieran Tierney a likely exit. Newcastle and Aston Villa are eyeing the Scottish left-back.

Granit Xhaka is also set to leave, with the midfielder heading to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
